Battery Query
« on: May 04, 2010, 06:38:06 PM »
Hi, first post on this website, thanks for having me. Just wondered if anyone could help me, just bought my first rc buggy, a 1/10 scale electric one and was looking to get another battery. However, the connector is not a standard tamiya one and looks a little like this at the ends:
                                                                                    --- []
Was wondering if anyone knew what kind of connector it si and where I could pick one up.
Any help is much appreciated O0

Small red block? It's probably a 'Deans' connector.

I use ebay for mine: Clicky clicky

Easiest thing to do is to just cut the tamiya ones off.

Deans are much more efficient which is why most if not everyone upgrade to them. The trouble with tamiya's is they have high resistance and have been known to fuse together with larger battery packs!
