Just to give you lot a heads up about these, I know they look like Modified's but there's a couple of things you should be aware of if your planning to use these.
http://www.mmrlargescale.co.uk/shop/product/roll_cage_risers/The nubs on the rear of the cage (where the bodyclips go) need to be sanded down shorter so the hole through the nub lines up with the holes in the riser.
The hole for the nub on the riser is a hair too far up to be able to put the bodyclip through easily when it's attached to the lower half of the cage. To solve this I used a bodyreamer to open up the holes on the lower half to allow the riser to sit that bit lower.
After installing the risers I noticed the cage was a tighter fit and also felt pushed forward. The windows didn't line up with the cage and also the nubs at the front were about an inch in front of the holes in the chassis instead of the 1cm (rough guess) they usually are when they are out of the holes on the chassis.
The splitpins aren't the most attractive solution, and also they became a PITA when I kept catching on things so instead I drilled the cage and riser to 3mm and am now running with a bolt and a nyloc through either side which looks a lot cleaner.
After that a few weeks and a trip to homebase later I decided to do the quick release mod. I cut the s/s pipe to 4.5" and using the s/s pipe as a rough guide cut the cage where the pipe would go in the middle of that. All went well and I reassembled the cage but it still felt tight, so I decided to see what could be done. I removed the pipe and put the cage back on at the front and roof and pushed the cage ends until they matched up, I then let them overlap and they did so by about 1cm, but like that the windows now lined up and the cage felt less forced forward and more solid. So I cut about 1cm off the cage as well as the s/s tube quick release. After reassembling it the whole cage felt and looked better, the windows once again lined up and the front nubs of the cage were back to where they should be when not through the holes in the chassis.
All in all, the issues aren't major ones, a bit of light sanding and a quick turn from the bodyreamer in the lower cage holes should be easy to do for just about anybody, and for half the price of Modifed's ones you can easily forgive them for that.
Edit:
Sorry forgot about the cage cutting. If you running a quick release then shortening it by 1cm should be straight forward, if your running the cage without the quick release then obviously I'd advise you to do the quick release mod as well and shorten it and the quick release to fix it. Although that's up to you.
