Hi guys, I'd like to introduce my latest companion for trips into the woods and across the countryside.
her name's Ruby and I just picked her up last saturday after a bit of haggling over the net.
She was a right dog when I first got her

, with loose wobbly bits all over the place, some even hanging out/off

, but i'm slowly whipping her into shape so she fits my requirements exactly

when I got it it had a 2 link and prop shaft suspension set up on the rear

and 2 link and panhard on the front, so the axles were rocking and rolling all over the place, all the axle bushings are shot as are the stub axles, and how the hell they used to steer it I don't know as there's no practical place at all to fit the servo yet.
I've been in the batcave this afternoon and sorted the links out, making 4 new ones so the axles are now held solidly in place, I have bearings on the way (3 guesses where from

) and I'm just about to order up the axles and a couple of other little bits to go one her too, so hopefully she'll be ready for action pretty soon. Only thing that's really causing me some probs atm is the suspension, as it would appear it's set up for droop, but in light of all the faults on it originally I reckon whoever built it just didn't have a clue, so I'm undecided as to whether I'm gonna go with coilovers/springs and shox or change it to leafs.
