hyper 12 mini st ... can anyone tell me if this is a good little starter for ma oldist kid and if it would need any hopups out of the box please? all it would be used for is bashing and maybe the odd race for now. thnx guys

Hi

I think they're great, and pretty fast out of the box. It depends where you're bashing though because they are a bit small to handle the proper rough stuff - maybe a 1/10 or 1/8 scale would be better for offroad bashing/jumping/etc
If you will be running on short grass/dry dirt it will be fine
