Having problems with my nb16t
« on: May 01, 2010, 05:35:37 PM »
Hi there ive recently bought the nb16 truggy brand new with no instructions im a complete novice but through a little advice from a mate got it running. I have a few problems.

1. I can get it started but have to block the exhaust and air filter with my fingers to get fuel to the engine is this the norm?

2. i cant get it to turn off i have to block the air filter, again is this the norm?

3. how do you adjust the engine rpm not forgetting im clueless of course ive seen a brass fitting just above the fuel inlet with a flat head fitting inside and below that a small cross head black screw.

3. does anyone no where i could get a manual from as ive asked the seller and they fobbed me off

If anyone could help i would really apreciate i.

thanks a lot.

Tom, welcome to RcK  O0

You only need to block the exhaust before starting, and only if fuel isn't getting to the carb.

To stop the engine either grab a rag and block the exhaust or pinch the fuel line to the carb, just be careful as this will cause a sudden rush of power where it leans out the engine before cutting it out.

Engine RPM can be adjusted by the small screw with a spring behind it under or around the base of the air filter where it's cable tied to the carb neck.

As for the manual, try emailing nitrotek.co.uk and see if they have one spare... they also do replacement parts for the nb16t.

Hope that helps ;)
