Competition of the month competition

At V Racing we want to support the RcK community in any way possible, so have teamed up with RCKingdom to run a monthly competition with a prize going to the winning RcK member.

Here's the thing though..... Due to an unfortunate lack of brainpower (and recent lack of sleep) I haven't been able to think of a vaguely interesting or at least mildly amusing competition, so here's the best I could come up with............

The first month's competition (February) will be a competition of the month competition. The rules are as simple as can be:
  • The winner will be the person who suggests the best competition, as judged by the amount of positive responses left by others. (Just in case something ludicrous wins I will be retaining the casting vote for myself though!)
    • To enter, all you need to do is reply to this topic with your competition suggestions.
    • Closing date for entries is 29th Feb (but best to get in early!)
    • We will then use the winning suggestion as our competition of the month from March onwards.

Winners will be notified through the PM system, and will be provided with a choice of prizes at that time. The winner will need to confirm their chosen prize and supply address details for shipping within a week of notification.

This competition is open to all members, free to enter, and you can provide up to 3 suggestions.

Oh, and in the meantime if you need any carbon fibre parts, nitro accessories, alloy hop-ups for your Traxxas JATO, REVO, T-MAXX or HPI Savage, or anything from the Ansmann model range check out our website at www.dirtyrc.co.uk or drop me a mail to sales@dirtyrc.co.uk

The ugliest bodyshell picture competition.
Everyone makes a video sticks it on youtube and the winner is the one with the most views.
Pick a kit and get everyone to write a hundred word essay on why THEY should get that kit.. But the twist is they can't use the words such as Me,I,MY. It has to be wrote in third person.

How about we write pro-democrat, anti-nascar and pro-homosexuality slogans on our cars and drive them through the great US state of Alabama..?

Hi all

Heres my 3 ideas :P

"Best RC Moments"

basically the person finds some pictures or video footage to do with there RC car and submits it, it being a best moment meaning as if it was your first jump, first race win, first time you took off in your plane or when you first ever opened the box and saw the shiny body shell etc. And it can be for everyone, so you dint necessarily need a super cool model to enter.

"Worst RC Moments"

Basically its the same as the competition above but this competition will be for those worst moments weather it be you burning out your motor in a race, or breaking that shock arm when riding over some rough terrain or seeing your RC plane fall out the sky, all you do is submit a picture or footage of that moment and best suprising and worst moment wins

"Scenic Picture"

This competition would be for the scenery in the background of a picture, basically you take a picture when your driving over some picturesque terrain and submit it, the most beautiful scenery wins.

Thanks
Adam

Best RC Video with Adverts for this Site and V Racing Site

Footage can be of any thing that you have done your self but must be of with RC Stuff . No stealing of content from you tube what so ever.

It must be Original content. The users Must be creative and not just put up a single 5 min clip of Just a RC car running around doing wheelies.

Can Use Photos with in the movie as long as they own the photos. No other site material can be used.

Good ex samples could be in the forum of tutorials in tuning the car , Setting up a Car, leaning to fly, basics of racing ect ect ...

You Cold then Theme each month e.g

Most Funny
Most original
Best Tutorial
Most creative

These can All so Be put on the sites download list adding to original content for the site. (using external links of course saving site bandwidth )

Design you own car RC car / Plane / boat / helicopter

Using any materials you like. e.g Paint shop pro / 3D Rendering software / photos in a colarge ect ect.

The Pictures of original concept must be submitted in JPG form and set limit to how many 1 user can send per mouth.

E.g May be trough conspet drawing / Full Written Idear / Photos.

Some thing like redesign of the radio systems for helicopters to make life better for the user / Some sort of airo dynamic add on for cars /

RC Hunt .

Simple game using tools that every has to access this site.

Using cryptic questions users must hunt for the answers ...

So for e.g

shocking upgrade maxed out ->

V Racing has a second clue on the page in one of the shock absorbers page that users could follow say back to RC UK. such as ->

Maxx Power Nurnberg ->

Serarch nurumberg artile for next clue ->

leading to answer and then once this has finished the user my email the answer to a specified account. So that no one except mods know if has been found. giving longevity to compo

1) Most RC advertised thing you own (That isnt RC)

For exmple: covering your fridge in RC stickers

2) Box art, best designed RC box for an RC vehicle thats already in production

3) Most innovative way of storing RC items  O0

ok here goes, my three are:

1: Take a pic of your RC, or you and your RC in a random/funny/weird place, and the most random/funny/weirdest place wins.

2: Picture Captions - basically the original poster will give us a base image and then the people entering the comp will have to enter their own caption for the photo. But must be RC related of course!

3: Cant think of a thrid at the moment (watch this space)
