There was another before the Hot Bodies, it was the GS Storm. GS were the first to start producing a Truggy like RC, Hot Bodies took it to another level and set the bassis for a racing standard.

Well...it depends how far you want to take it really. The Lightning Stadium was the first, proper long-suspension truggy. The Storm unlimted still was a buggy with big wheels, but you could go waaay back to the mid nineties with the Kyosho USA-1 Nitro Crusher. It had a flat-pan chassis, 3 diffs, left-hand mounted engine and big meats; all truggy stuff! But anyhoo...it was meant as a monster truck, so the Storm Unlimited has to take the medal as the first factory truggy, like you say LP. O0

As for the world's most famous/liked/used truggy...it's gotta be the HN X1-CRT right now. Everyone and their mum's got one.

Has to be the X1CRT, maybe not as competative as it once was with Mugen, Losi and a few others stepping up to the plate but it is still a high-riding favourite... it's almost like this is the new schools HPI Savage. :biggrin:
