Central Scotland Racers
« on: January 05, 2008, 10:21:57 PM »
Hi
Now that we have the off road side of life catered for at CSOR it's about time attention was turned to on road. We do have plenty of indoor clubs around Scotland but the one remaining outdoor club CRCC at Stirling is going through something of a transition period while they look for/set-up a new venue.
I'm pretty sure there must be more than a few frustrated nitro/petrol car owners who have never had the pleasure of using there machines 'properly' under racing conditions, if this is you then speak up.

There are currently two tracks sitting idle in Scotland, one at Raceland near Edinburgh which although is a little short for nitro's is better than nothing :) or there is Benarty which for reasons I have never been able to confirm does not get used. The guys at CRCC are planning on using an area beside the Falkirk Wheel, which should provide a great backdrop to the smell of nitro fumes ! So at this point in time even a semi-organized car park bash would be good.

I plan on making the same appeal on the various on-road forums and sites around the net in the hope of generating enough interest to be able to arrange a meeting of sorts, somewhere ... I would greatly appreciate any support you may be able to offer in the way of interest in coming along to anything we might arrange or even just a suggestion of a suitable venue.

Thanks for your time.
