I dont really mind working on my trucks but my LST is just very unreliable, you fix it up and the next time you take it out something else has gone on it. It's basically a to heavier truck for the conponents. The savage X looks like it's much easier to work on from the blog on the HPI website, the radio box has been inproved, gearbox can be removed with out splitting chassis and the diffs come out easy, but i know were your coming from about the orignal savage design. its  :reallymad:

i went for traxxas and HoBao,

my Traxxas Sport-Maxx i have had for over 3 years now and has not missed a beat  (--) and i reacently got my HoBao touring car (GPX4 with STS .12 race engine) which cost me as much as i would pay if i was just going into RC and is unbelievebly quick and well-balanced and the most reliable car i have.

Tamiya for bashing round
Schumacer for tyres
Sportswrecks for good deals
Traxxas for there old school style
Associated for the buggies and stadium trucks.

i must agree with you about the lst. i break it every time i take it out
but my sav is almost indestructible occasionally breaks a dog bone on some of the bad landings. ive got the old style savage. the only thing i don't like is the breaks if you put a high tourqe servo on there it can pull the screw out the treads in the breaks i think that bis should be metal where it screws in.

FG is missing from the list. They may only make only 2/3 cars but they are well built. Pity they havent continued with further products.

i voted for HPI because i belive it to be the best brand out there with a kit to every need and budget, they look great, they re reliable as wood burning stoves, relatively cheap and my first, and still my only RC is a MT2 .15............naturaly as a second option i would vote for Hotbodies, but since they are HPI, i spared a vote......HPIs, great rides...........second was Traxxas, i don really know why i voted for it, but i hear lots of good things about it and any of my friends Traxx has ever broke down, so i guess they are good, i would buy one if i ever wanted to buy another brand, but i dont!!!.....ill stick with HPI....
