LRP electronic have released the latest tire in their 1/8 competition buggy tire line, the peculiarly named Suicide. Specially developed by the LRP R&D team, this new thread design features small and fines pins, perfect for hard packed high traction tracks or qualifying runs. The VTEC 1/8 tire provides high grip and low wear based on a special compound of high-quality rubber. In addition, the all new tire features pre-cut venting holes resulting in high performance through superior air circulation. Released in soft and medium compounds.
LRP have released their latest truggy engine, the new ZR.30 X Truggy is the replacement for the successful Z.28 R Spec. 3 Truggy motor. An uncompromising competition engine specially tuned for the demands of a .30 engine, the massive XTEC T6 crankcase provides the engine with a high structural rigidity, with extra thick ribs, particularly between the front and rear ball bearings. The carburetor is also completely revised, and is now flow optimized resulting in maximum performance and simple tuning.
Dynamite have released some new tools for gas racers including this new Clutch spring tool and 3 in 1 tuning screw driver. The Clutch spring tool is suitable for any .12 - .27 nitro engines that use a standard 3-shoe clutch. Using the large knurled handle the tool helps install and remove clutch shoes in seconds. The 3 in 1 tuning screw driver has a removable anodized handle that acts as a piston locking tool as well as a glow plug holder. Combine this with the flat head screw driver for adjusting your carburetor and you have 3 tools in 1.
The much anticipated Protoform LTC-R body shell is now available. This Global Body Spec ready race body is designed specifically for rubber tire racing whether it’s on a carpet or a paved surface racetrack. It was designed with slightly more steering ability than the Mazda 6 and Mazda Speed 6 body styles, yet a bit less aggressive than the Protoform R9-R body. To further aid balance and rear grip the wing mounting location that’s slightly more rearward. The LTC-R features two trim lines, one for IFMAR, EFRA, ROAR, JMCRA racing at the 115mm height as well as the BRCA’s 120mm height rule. The oversize rear wing helps performance on a poor-grip surface that’s commonly experienced in club racing but also incorporates trim lines for sanctioned style racing. Available in 2 different weights of genuine lexan and comes with protective film, decals and wing mounting hardware.
Much More have announced the release of 2 new products, a Diff break-in machine and a new battery hole tool. The diff break-in machine is a device that can quickly and effectively break-in your new ball differential. Simply connect the end of the device to your car’s wheel nut and while holding the tire on the other side switch on the 12V motor. After the break in process is complete the diff will be smoother and have increased life and efficiency. The battery hole tool is effectively a hand drill that places the correct sized hole in the casing of pre made battery packs to enable them to be mounted in the Much More Pack Equalizer.
Caster Racing have announced the release of their Pro EX-1R and the Sport EX-1RTR. The pro kit is made with 7075 Swiss aluminum, together with lightened parts. It has heli cut gears, big bore shocks, 6 CVDs, new Caster Racing tires, aluminium battery straps and front &rear swaybars. The RTR kit is based off the Sport kit and it is made with T6 aluminium and comes supplied with the new Caster gearing, Caster Racing brushless motor (36×60x2045), Hobbywing ESC, Caster Racing steering servo, FM radio and receiver.

Reckward Tuning have announced that they have produced a new Symbio racing shell to fit the Xray XB808. The Symbio body, which is available to fit a wide range of chassis’ will also become available for the Kyosho MP9 and Mugen MBX-6 body shell soon. Also announced is a new range of Tourex tires to be called X100, X200, X300 and X400 and which will be available in three different compounds, soft - medium - hard, with hard foam insert or you can get them pre glued on either white or yellow Tourex 80mm rims.

After much speculation Traxxas has finally unveiled their much anticipated rock crawler. Meet the Traxxas Summit. The Summit gives you the ability to lock the differentials and shift from low to high gear right from the transmitter. No need to break from the action to swap gears or install locking parts. Tear up the trail in “high” with a 25:1 ratio for dirt-slinging speed. When the terrain turns technical, drop it into “low” for a 70:1 ratio and unreal climbing torque. For the ultimate in climbing traction, flip the T-Lock™ switch to lock the front differential. Need even more grip? X Factory have announced that the X-60, an all-new mid-motor Conversion Kit for the AE T4 is almost ready for final testing. As you can see from the photos, the mold for the chassis is almost finished and their mold shop says the tool will be finished this weekend, and the first production prototypes will be made. All the X-Team drivers will begin testing molded chassis’ in the next 4-10 days depending on shipping times, with results forwarded to the home office in northwest Ohio by October 20. If all is well, full production of graphite chassis’ will begin immediately. The rear control arms are finished, and full production graphite arms will be shipped to X Factory around Oct. 10th. The Team will be using production prototype rear shock towers and battery straps about the end of next week, so those items should be able to go into production on the 20th also. Work has also begun on the body mold, and they hope to have the prototype bodies about Oct 20 for photos and track testing. If everything fits, looks good, and the downforce is correct, that part can go immediately into production too.

The Desert Rat reaps in that bold, off-road desert look. Both shells have been made from GE .060 thick lexan, so it’s as durable as the punishment you throw at it.

Nosram have also released their next generation LiPo batteries, similar to those from sister brand LRP. Specially developed for extreme power delivery and run time, this 5300mAh pack features a transparent red durable hard case to keep the cells from being damaged during use, and has the same measurement as a 6-cell Sub C battery cell and so will fit in all standard 1/10th scale on road and off road cars. Thanks to bulges on the base of the case, the pack fits securely into standard Sub C pre-cut chassis and battery holders.
HPI Racing have released the Power Manager, an AC to 12 volt DC power supply. Featuring a very compact design, this is the latest in the new range of electronic products from HPI, which has 2 outputs for powering multiple devices. Weighing in at only 756 grams it has a maximum output current of 20A and adjustable voltage of 12.0V to 16.0V.

At the 1982 Geneva Motor Show both theLP400S and LP500S prototypes were showing off their overhanging front and rear fend-ers and a rear wing option. In 1985, approximately 320 of these vehicles sporting a new4754cc motor replacing the previous 3929cc motor were manufactured.
